Being a traveling entertainer who spends a lot of time on the road and therefor, in a lot of restaurants, I have been writing about my culinary adventures for years.  A bit about me; I am a side show performer (www.sideshowbennie.com) and when I am not on the road I enjoy spending time in the kitchen. I started cooking when I was 8 years old (45 years of cooking experience) and I worked in several restaurants back in my salad days. For the most part, I was a classic diner short order cook. I moved from diners to many non-food occupations including, warehouse worker, ditch digger, welder and finally spent 20 years in the printing business before getting downsized for the third time and starting on my entertainment career. Even though I got out of ‘professional cooking’ years ago, I never got out of the kitchen. My pies and pickles have won ribbons at the State Fair and my meals have gotten rave reviews.
